With heavy rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for the next several days in Nacogdoches, Texas, Bradley is making changes to its weekend baseball schedule.  Rather than travel to Stephen F. Austin for three games versus South Dakota State, the host Jacks and UT Arlington, the Braves and Jackrabbits are working out arrangements to meet for a 3-game series at SIU Edwardsville's Simmons Complex this weekend.

The exact weekend game schedule is still to be determined, but the series is tentatively scheduled for single games Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Braves (2-1) faced weather-related travel difficulty during the opening weekend, as well, but overcame flight cancellations out of O'Hare and the resulting bus trip to Atlanta to take 2-of-3 games during last weekend's Atlanta Challenge.  After dropping a 3-1 decision at Georgia State, Bradley rebounded with a 10-7 win at Georgia Tech and 6-4 victory at Kennesaw State.  Sophomore third baseman Brendan Dougherty hit .700 (7-10) and reached base safely nine times during the Atlanta Challenge to earn Missouri Valley Conference Player-of-the-Week honors.
