Braves Meet Drake in MVC Quarterfinals

For the sixth time in the last eight years, the Bradley basketball team is set to face Drake in the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament as the pairings were officially announced by the league on Sunday.

The most played matchup in Missouri Valley Conference Tournament history, the Braves and Bulldogs have met 12 times previously with Bradley winning seven of the 12 contests. Last season, Bradley earned a 67-58 victory in the opening round versus Drake behind a 17-point effort from Donte Thomas.

The Braves will host a team sendoff at Bradley's hotel at 12:45 p.m. before Friday's game in the bar and lounge area of the Embassy Suites. All Bradley fans are also invited to gather for a pregame party before each BU Arch Madness contest at Fox Sports Midwest Live! at Ballpark Village in St. Louis. Starting at 1:15 will be a pep rally with the cheer team and Bradley band also in attendance and additional giveaways for fans.

Event parking at Ballpark Village is available for $7 with a complimentary shuttle service running one hour prior to and after every game for the entire weekend.

Fans can also watch the BU contests at the official watch party for all Bradley Basketball road games at the Bullpen Sports Bar inside Landmark Recreation Center in Peoria.

With the number five overall seed, Bradley has earned a top-five finish in the Missouri Valley Conference standings for the first time since 2010. Tipoff versus the Bulldogs is set for 2:30 p.m. and can be seen live on the MVC Network.
