Sophomore guard Darrell Brown of the Bradley basketball team was honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Tuesday, earning selection to the NABC All-District 16 Second Team.

The first Bradley underclassmen to earn All-Missouri Valley Conference honors since 2006, Brown led the Braves with 13.5 points per game to become just the fourth player in BU history to lead the team in scoring as a freshman and sophomore. The Bradley point guard also registered a team-best 4.3 assists per game – ranking second in The Valley. In 33 games this season, Brown scored in double figures 27 times, leading BU in points on 13 occasions and in assists 24 times.

Brown was one of just two underclassmen selected to the All-District 16 teams, joining Jordan Barnes of Indiana State on the second team. Honorees are selected by member coaches of the NABC.

Bradley finished its season with a 20-13 record. One of just four schools in the country to improve by at least five wins in each of the last two years, the Braves' 20 victories are two more than the last two seasons combined. Bradley also earned a top-five seed for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and advanced to the league semifinals for the first time since 2010.
