FARMERS BRANCH, Texas -- Junior Brooke Thompson was one of three Bradley Women's Golfers to shoot in the 70's in the final round of the Bradley Spring Break Invitational Tuesday and tied for 22nd overall, while the Braves finished 12th in the 16-team field.

Thompson, who was in the field as an individual, was Bradley's individual finisher for the first time since winning medalist honors at the 2016 UIC Fall Invitational, tying for 22nd overall at 15-over 234 after closing out play with a 79 Tuesday.

The Braves matched their second round score of 319 on the final day of play to finish 12th overall at 956, seven shots back of a tie for 10th between Texas A&M Corpus Christi and UTRGV at 949.  UNC-Asheville was eight shots better than Bradley in ninth at 948.  Houston Baptist claimed the team title by a convincing 12 shots at 33-over par 909 with Akron following in second at 921.

Kaity Cummings of Houston Baptist won a three-way playoff between Akron's Jacinta Pikunas and Brielle Ward of Northern Illinois for medalist honors.  The trio finished at five-over 224 to pace the field at the par-73 Brookhaven Country Club.

Sophomore Taylor Ledwein had the low round of the day for Bradley at four-over 77 to tie for 31st at 237.  Junior Frankie Saban was one shot behind Ledwein in a tie for 36th (238) as she closed out the tournament with a third-round 81.

Senior Ally Scaccia had a pair of 79's during Monday's action, but slipped into a tie 47th overall at 241 after carding a third-round 83.  Junior Chloe Horton had her best round of the tournament with a five-over 78 Tuesday to earn a share of 61st (246), while senior Grace Henderson rounded out the team scoring for the Braves with an 84 and tied for 68th overall at 249.

In addition to Thompson, freshman Maddie Hawkins played as an individual and finished out her first tournament since playing the MVC Preview to wrap up the Fall schedule with a final round 85.  Hawkins tied for 70th in the individual standings at 250.

The Bradley Women's Golf team will have a two-and-a-half week break from competition before hosting the Bradley Spring Invitational at WeaverRidge Golf Club in Peoria, Ill., March 30 & 31.
