Softball Alters Weekend Home Schedule

PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Softball has altered its Missouri Valley Conference opening weekend schedule due to expected inclement weather Saturday morning in the Peoria, Ill., area.

The Braves were slated to open the three-game MVC series against Northern Iowa with a noon doubleheader Saturday at Petersen Hotels Field at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex and conclude the set Sunday with an 11 a.m. contest. Due to rain and cold conditions forecast for Saturday morning the teams will now play a 3 p.m. single game Saturday afternoon and wrap up the series Sunday with a noon doubleheader.

Bradley has already played a league-high six home games, but the weekend series was going to be the first home games outdoors after playing the first six home contests of the year inside the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex Dome. This weekend's games will mark the halfway point of the 2018 regular-season schedule for the Braves.
