Women’s Basketball Adds Ellisha Davis During Spring Signing Period

PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Women's Basketball head coach Andrea Gorski was looking to add an experienced point guard during the 2018 Spring Signing Period and the Braves have found that in Ellisha Davis (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East/St. Louis C.C.), who signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bradley Wednesday.
 
Davis averaged 12.0 points and 4.6 assists per game in her two years at St. Louis Community College.  This past season, she boasted a 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio, while dishing out 4.3 assists per contest as she helped the Archers to a 25-4 record.  Davis scored 12.4 points per game in 2017-18 in addition to coming away with 2.0 steals per game. 
 
"We are excited to add Ellisha to our Bradley family," said Gorski.  "She is a steady point guard who understands the game well and does a fantastic job of taking care of the ball while playing at a fast pace. Her experience and winning mentality will have an immediate impact on our program."
 
As a freshman, Davis helped St. Louis C.C. to a fifth-place national finish, scoring 11.7 points per tilt while dishing out nearly five assists (4.9) per game.  The Archers were 26-9 during her freshman season in which she owned a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio and tallied 2.7 steals per outing.  Davis averaged 9.8 points per game as a senior at Belleville East.
 
Davis will be the sixth newcomer on the 2018-19 Bradley Women's Basketball roster, joining fall signees  Aannah Interrante (Johnsburg, Ill./McHenry), Tatum Koenig (West Branch, Iowa/West Branch), Lasha Petree (Ann Arbor, Mich/Arbor Prep), Ellie Spelhaug (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) and Asia Strong (South Bend, Ind./Riley).
