Peoria, IL—After a short break, Bradley Tennis is heading back out on the road to visit Waterloo, Iowa, to face Northern Iowa in the Braves' third conference match of the season.

Bradley, in the midst of an 11-match skid, heads to Waterloo to face off with the four-win Panthers. Senior Alexa Brandt leads the Braves with a 9-7 record in dual match play. Brandt is one of two Bradley players with a winning dual-match record in singles play this season, joined only by freshman Sandra Maletin (8-7). Brandt and Maletin are both 1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play, and junior Malini Wijesinghe stands undefeated thus far with a 2-0 record. Additionally, the doubles pair of Brandt and Wijesinghe along with the team of sophomore Natalia Barbery and Maletin are both 1-1 in MVC doubles play. Both teams hold winning overall records in the 2017-18 season.

With a victory in singles play on Saturday, Brandt would overtake her injured teammate, senior Aimee Manfredo, the career singles standings. Brandt and Manfredo are currently tied for fourth with 58 wins. Brandt's 59th win would give her sole ownership of the fourth-place spot. Meanwhile, a Brandt/Wijesinghe doubles win would tie the pair for third all-time and match a mark that only two Bradley doubles teams have met since 2006.

The Braves look to carry on with recently-set precedent by getting their third-consecutive win over UNI after winning both of the last two matchups by scores of 4-3. Though Bradley is just 16-21 all-time versus the Panthers, the team has a chance to build on the success of the two previous seasons.

Bradley and Northern Iowa will meet Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo.
