Will Anderson Named to Academic All-District Team

Bradley junior Will Anderson was honored for his work on and off the track on Tuesday as he was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country First Team. By earning the accolade, Anderson is now eligible for Academic All-America honors.

Anderson scored in three different events at the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championships. He finished a career-best fourth at the conference meet in both the indoor 5,000m and outdoor 10,000m. He also recorded top-10 finishes in the outdoor 5,000m (8th) and indoor 3,000m (10th) this season.

Additionally, Anderson made his mark on the school's record book in 2018. A member of the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, he recorded the program's fourth-best time in the indoor 5,000m with a mark of 14:23.77, while also ranking fifth in BU history in the outdoor 10,000m (30:17.30) and ninth in the indoor 3,000m (8:22.00).

Off the track, Anderson owns a perfect 4.0 grade point average, majoring in electrical engineering.

Anderson is one of 10 student-athletes honored in District 5, which includes all Division I schools from the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. He is also one of four student-athletes from the Valley to earn the accolade.
