Bradley Coaches Set For USAV High Performance Championships

TULSA, Okla. -- Third-year Bradley Volleyball Head Coach Carol Price-Torok and assistant coach Jon Wong will both be spending the week in Tulsa, Okla., with the pair coaching at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships.
 
USA High Performance Championships is an international tournament hosted by USA Volleyball annually and features international teams from several countries plus Region High Performance teams from the United States.  In the last two years, participants have come from Canada, Chile, China, Dominican Republic, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, and Puerto Rico.  The championships will be held July 24-28 at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa, Okla. 
 
Torok will serve as an assistant coach for the USA Women's Junior A1 Program, which features some of the top individuals who will be competing for spots on the 2019 U.S. Women's Junior National Team. 
 
Wong is in his fourth year working with the Florida Region of USA Volleyball and will be the technical coordinator for the Team Florida Women's International Junior squad. 
 
Earlier this summer, Wong served as technical coordinator for the U.S. Women's Junior National Team which claimed the 2018 North America, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Women's U20 Continental Championship held in Aguascalientes, Mexico, June 18-23. 
 
After the team sandwiched sweeps of Puerto Rico and Guatemala around a five-set rally against Cuba to reach the semifinals.  A four-set victory over tournament-host Mexico in the semifinals set up a championship sweep of the Dominican Republic.  With the title, the U.S. Women's Junior National Team qualified for the 2019 FIVB Women's U20 World Championship
