PEORIA, Ill. -- Redshirt junior goalkeeper Albert Reinwart (Kirkwood, Mo./St. Louis University H.S.) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after picking up his first career victory Sunday against Oral Roberts.

After playing a total of 110 minutes in goal over his first three seasons at Bradley, Reinwart started both games in net for Bradley Soccer during the opening weekend of the 2018 season.  He made a total of nine saves over the weekend, helping the Braves to a win and tie to start the year.  Reinwart made five saves in a 2-2 tie Friday against Gonzaga in the season opener as he made his second career start.  He followed it up with four saves in a 2-1 victory over Oral Roberts Sunday at Shea Stadium.  A civil engineering major, Reinwart owns a 3.12 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Reinwart and the Bradley Soccer team return to action Friday, taking on IUPUI at 4 p.m. (CDT) in Indianapolis, Ind.
