Donte Thomas Signs First Professional Contract

After a standout tenure with the Bradley men's basketball team, Donte Thomas is set to continue his basketball career with KTP Basket of the Korisliiga – the top-tier level of basketball in Finland.

Thomas was one of the anchors of the most successful team this decade for the BU program. A second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in 2018, he averaged 11.7 points and 7.2 rebounds in his final campaign on campus. In conference games only, Thomas ranked 11th with 13.8 points, second in boards with 8.1, fourth in field goal percentage at 55.6, seventh in free throw percentage at 76.4 and seventh with 1.1 blocks.

"We are very excited for Donte to begin his pro career and the next journey in his life," said Bradley head coach Brian Wardle. "I truly believe his best basketball is still ahead of him as he was a young senior in our program. If he continues to work and be a great teammate, he Is going to have a very long and healthy career and I'm looking forward to watching him in the next step of his life."

Thomas also finished his career ranked ninth in school history with 718 rebounds to go with 990 points in his four years on campus.

Thomas and the Braves finished the 2017-18 season with a 20-13 record. One of just four schools in the country to improve by at least five wins in each of the last two years, Bradley also earned a top-five seed for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and advanced to the league semifinals for the first time since 2010.
