Daniel Lensing Named MVC Golfer Of The Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Senior Daniel Lensing has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the week according to an announcement by the league office Thursday, after winning individual medalist honors at the Crusader Collegiate earlier this week.

Lensing won medalist honors at the Crusader Collegiate in Chesterton, Ind., while helping Bradley Men's Golf to the team title. The fifth-year senior claimed the top spot on the individual leaderboard by one stroke over Loyola's Devin Johnson, firing a five-under 211 at the par-72 Sand Creek Country Club to tie the fifth-best 54-hole score in program history.

Lensing, who has battled injuries throughout his career, opened the event with a one-under 71 and added a pair of two-under 70's in the final two rounds to post his first top-10 finish in a tournament since his debut as a Brave in September 2014. The medalist title marked the third consecutive year a Brave won the individual crown at the Crusader Collegiate and Bradley won the Crusader Collegiate team title for the second time in three years.

The Bradley men's golf team returns to action Monday & Tuesday at the Derek Dolenc Invitational, which will be held in Madison, Ill., at Gateway National Golf Links.
