Game Recap: Men's Basketball |
Peoria, Ill. – The Bradley men's basketball team couldn't overcome a strong first half from Drake as the Bulldogs earned a 69-52 win at Carver Arena on Wednesday night. The Braves are now 8-10 on the season, while Drake improves to 13-5.

Sophomore Elijah Childs led the Braves with his third double-double of the season – registering 15 points to go with a career-best 13 rebounds. Seniors Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and Luqman Lundy also scored in double figures with Lautier-Ogunleye tallying 13 points and Lundy adding a career-best 10.

The Braves got out to the early lead in the game with a 7-2 advantage less than three minutes into the game. However, with the Braves ahead, 9-7, the Bulldogs used a 15-0 stretch in a little over eight minutes to pull in front for good, 22-9. Drake maintained its momentum for the rest of the first half to head into the locker room with a 33-15 edge at the break.

Bradley more than doubled its output in the second stanza with 37 points but found the halftime deficit to be too much as Drake earned the 69-52 Missouri Valley Conference victory.

The Bulldogs made 52.0 percent of their baskets on Wednesday night with a 9-of-22 mark from 3-point range. The Braves converted 31.1 percent of their shots.

Bradley is back in action with a road game on Sunday at Southern Illinois. Game time is set for 3 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPNU.
