Braves Open Season with Red-White Scrimmage

Senior Darrell Brown sunk the game-winning free throw in overtime to lead the Red Team to a 21-20 victory over Team White in Tuesday's Red-White Scrimmage.

Four Braves scored at least four points to lead the Red Team with Brown, Terry Nolan Jr. and Ville Tahvanainen all tallying five and Ja'Shon Henry chipping in four. Nate Kennell and Elijah Childs led the White Team with nine and seven points, respectively.

Additionally, Childs paired with Lasha Petree of women's basketball to win the 3-point shooting contest, while Stephan Gabriel claimed the dunk contest title.

The Braves begin the 2019-20 season with a home exhibition game against Milikin on Tuesday, Oct. 29 before opening the regular season on the road at Saint Joseph's on Nov. 5.
