Vote for Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month

It's that time again! Once again during the 2019-20 season, fans will have the opportunity to vote for who they believe should be the Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month. With the calendar now shifted toward October, it's time to select who had the best opening month of the new year!
 
Junior McKenzie Altmayer of the women's cross country team, senior Jake Hoffert of the cross country team, junior Sandra Maletin of the tennis team, and sophomore Hannah Thompson of the volleyball team are the four nominees for Bradley Athlete of the Month in September.
 
Voting is open until Friday at 2 p.m. and will be conducted through the @BradleyBraves twitter account.
 

McKenzie Altmayer • Jr. • Women's Cross Country • Geneva, Ill.
• Opened the season by claiming her first collegiate cross country title – finishing first at the Bradley Intercollegiate
• Ran the three-mile course in 17:21.1 – finishing more than five seconds ahead of the runner up
• Became the sixth different Brave in as many years to finish first at the Bradley Intercollegiate
 

Jake Hoffert • Sr. • Men's Cross Country • Yorkville, Ill.
• Won the Bradley Intercollegiate to open the 2019 season
• Crossed the finish line with an 8K time of 25:06.1 – 23 seconds faster than the runner up
• Became just the second man in the 33 years of the Bradley Intercollegiate to win the race multiple times (also won in 2017)
• Named the MVC Cross Country Athlete of the Week following his performance
 

Sandra Maletin • Jr. • Tennis • Belgrade, Serbia
• 10-1 combined singles (5-0) and doubles record to start the fall season
• Won the top singles flight during the Bradley Invitational for third consecutive year by posting a 3-0 record
• Won all five of her singles matches in straight sets, outscoring her five opponents by a combined 61-23 margin
 

Hannah Thompson • So. • Volleyball • Pekin, Ill.
• Collected 12 consecutive double-doubles to tie the school record set by Bradley Hall of Fame member Samantha Hardwick in 2000
• Leads the team in both kills (3.28 per set) and digs (4.57), ranking in the top 10 in the MVC in both
• Only player in the nation to have 175 kills & 240 or more digs
• Paced BU in kills a team-best eight times and digs six times
• Became the fifth player in program history to reach 550 career kills as a sophomore
