PEORIA, IL – Senior defender Walid Kherat scored the game's only goal in the 67th minute and the Bradley soccer team kept a clean sheet for the second-straight game as the Braves earned a 1-0 victory against Valparaiso at Shea Stadium on Sunday. With the win, BU improved to 5-5-4 on the season and 4-3-2 in Missouri Valley Conference action, while the Crusaders drop to 3-10-1 overall and 2-5-0 against league foes.

After a number of near misses in the game's first hour, Kherat finally broke through for the Braves with his second goal of the season. A long throw in by sophomore Nick Feeney found the head of senior Jacob McKee. McKee then flicked the ball to Kherat in the six-yard box, who finished for the 1-0 lead in the 67th minute.

The one goal was more than enough for the Bradley defense as senior Nathan Wisbey kept his seventh clean sheet of the season with four saves.

Bradley finished the game with a 12-7 advantage in shots, while both teams had four corner kicks in the contest.

The Braves look to continue their winning ways as they take a break from conference play with a road game at Northern Kentucky on Friday. First kick is set for 5 p.m.
