LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- For the 15th consecutive year, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has recognized the academic achievements of the Bradley softball team, naming the Braves one of the organization's 2018-19 All-Academic Teams.
In addition, Bradley had a school record 11 individuals earn Division I All-American Scholar-Athlete honors according to a recent release by the NFCA. The 11 individual honorees were the third most in the MVC.
Bradley tied for 87th among NCAA Division I softball programs with a 3.37 grade point average for the 2018-19 academic year and the Braves were one of seven Missouri Valley Conference squads to receive NFCA All-Academic Team honors. Grand Canyon owned the top GPA in the country last year at 3.76.
Over half of the 2019 Bradley roster earned NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete recognition for posting a 3.50 grade point average or higher for the 2018-19 academic year with 11 of 19 individuals receiving the honor. Those same 11 individuals earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll both the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters and 13 of 19 Bradley Softball student-athletes landed on the Bradley AD Honor Roll at least one semester in 2018-19.

Katie Habryle garnered NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors for the fourth consecutive year, while
Julie Kestas is now a three-time recipient. Senior
Emma Jackson earned the award for a second consecutive year and Bradley had eight first-time NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes in

Grace French,
Camryn Monteer,
Samantha Smith,
Gabby Stoner,
Taise Thompson and
Keeler van Breusegen.
