Sophomore Hannah Thompson of the volleyball team is the Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote for the month of September.

Thompson led the Braves to a 6-5 record during the month of September, including a 2-1 start to conference play. The sophomore leads the team in both kills (3.28 per set) and digs (4.57) during the early-season play, ranking in the top 10 in the MVC in both categories.

The Pekin, Illinois, native entered the week as the only player in the nation with 175 kills and 240 or more digs. She started the 2019 campaign with 12 consecutive double-doubles to tie the school record set by Bradley Hall of Fame member Samantha Hardwick in 2000. Overall, Thompson has paced the Braves in kills a team-best eight times and in digs on six occasions.

Thompson earned the Bradley Athlete of the Month accolades after a fan vote on the school's twitter account. She collected 59 percent of the vote to beat out Jake Hoffert of the men's cross country team (24 percent), Sandra Maletin of tennis (10 percent) and McKenzie Altmayer of the women's cross country team (eight percent).
