WATERLOO, IA – Bradley entered the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis Individual Championships with three titles in the program's history.  Thanks to sophomores Bozana Lojpur and Nikki Perlwitz, the Braves now boast five individual Valley titles.

Lojpur claimed the top individual title in program history by claiming the Flight 2 Singles championship Sunday with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-0 win against Drake's Liza Petushkova at Byrnes Park Tennis Center.  Prior to Lojpur's triumph, Bradley's previous MVC Individuals titles were claimed by Cindy Schneider (Flight 3 Singles in 1986), Aimee Manfredo (Flight 5 Singles in 2015) and the pairing of Ariel Dechter/Irinka Toidze (Flightt 3 Doubles in 2015).

Perlwitz gave the Braves their second title of the weekend, by snaring a 6-4, 6-3 win against Illinois State's Lauren Arcienegas in the Flight 5 Singles championship match.  Not only did Perlwitz claim the flight title, but she ran her season record to 8-0 and she gave the Braves a 3-1 weekend record in head-to-head matchups against the I-74 rival Redbirds.

Lojpur and Perlwitz also turned in a strong weekend showing as doubles partners, claiming third place in Flight 2 Doubles by taking an 8-4 win Sunday against Stony Brook's tandem of Ribeiro/Theys.

For the tournament, Bradley's seven players completed both the singles and doubles competitions with winning records.  The Braves were 10-9 in singles play and 5-4 in doubles action, finishing with two flight championships, two flight runner-up showings and one third-place finish.  Bradley's two flight titles equaled Missouri State for the second-most in the tournament, one behind Stony Brook's three championships.

The Braves will close out the fall individual season in two weeks by traveling to Norman, OK for the 2019 ITA Central Region Championships Oct. 17-20, hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
