The Bradley basketball team continues its four-game homestand on Saturday, welcoming UIC to Carver Arena. First tip between the two in-state foes is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN3.
 

PROMOTIONS
• The first Braves Club Pre-Game Party of the season is at 5 p.m. before Saturday's game in Rooms 220-222 at the Civic Center.
• Saturday is Washington Night. Any fan with a Washington address can present their driver's license at the box office on game day for two white level tickets for 50% off.
• Also, in Kaboom!'s Korner is inflatables from Fun on the Run, including a Bounce House.
 

ABOUT THE BRAVES
• Bradley won its first game of the season in its last outing, cruising to a 90-56 victory against IUPUI.
• Senior Darrell Brown and junior Elijah Childs both registered double-doubles in the victory as Brown tallied 14 points and 10 assists and Childs had 22 points and 15 boards.
• Six Braves are averaging double-figure points through two games – Childs (16.5), Brown (15.5), Nate Kennell (13.5), Koch Bar (12.5), Ja'Shon Henry (10.0) and Danya Kingsby (10.0).
• Childs also leads the Braves with 10.0 rebounds per game, while Bar is right behind at 9.5. Brown paces the BU attack with 7.5 assists per game.
• Bradley is averaging 85.5 points per game in its first two contests, allowing 71.0 per game.
 

SERIES HISTORY
• Bradley has played its in-state foe only seven times with six of the meetings since 2006.
• Overall, the Braves hold a 5-2 advantage against UIC, including a 4-0 record in Peoria.
• The schools met last season in Chicago with the Flames holding off a Bradley rally for a one-point win, 71-70.
• Bradley had won the last three games in the series prior to last season's meeting.
 

BRAVES VERSUS HORIZON LEAGUE
• Bradley is 43-28 all-time against schools when in the Horizon League.
• The Braves are coming off a win in their last game against the conference, claiming a 90-56 victory versus IUPUI last Saturday.
 

ABOUT THE FLAMES
• UIC is 1-2 early during the season, earning a win versus Olivet Nazarene in the opener before back-to-back losses to Memphis and Ball State.
• Godwin Boahen leads the Flames with 12.3 points and 3.7 assists per game.
• Brian Taylor is second on the team with 9.3 points off the bench, while Jacob Wiley leads UIC with 6.7 rebounds per game.
• The Flames' two preseason All-Horizon selections – Tarkus Ferguson and Marcus Ottey – have both missed the first three games of the year.
• Overall, UIC is averaging 56.3 points per game this season, allowing 77.0 defensively.
 

HIGH-SCORING ATTACK
• The Braves' offensive attack has already shown that it will be higher powered this year.
• Bradley is averaging 85.5 points through its first two games of the season – ranking first in the Valley and 47th nationally.
• In fact, the Braves eclipsed 80 points in their first two games of the season for the first time since 2002. The last time BU scored 80-plus points in its first three games was during the 1987-88 season.
• Last season, Bradley averaged 66.5 points.
 

DEPTH IN SCORING
• One key for the Braves on offense is their depth of options.
• Six different Braves are averaging in double figures through two games of the season. Bradley has not had three players average at least 10 points since the 2013-14 season.
• Five Braves reached double-digit points in each of the team's first two games. It is the first time that Bradley had five players score at least 10 points in back-to-back games since playing Little Rock and Chicago State in December 2017.
 

DOUBLING UP
• Through two games of the season, three Braves have already registered a double-double.
• Junior Elijah Childs is averaging a double-double with 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds thanks to a 22-point, 15-rebound game versus IUPUI.
• Seniors Koch Bar and Darrell Brown also added their second collegiate double-doubles this year.
• Bar tallied his first since his freshman campaign with 13 points and 12 boards versus Saint Joseph's.
• Brown tallied 14 points and 10 assists in the win versus IUPUI, matching his career high in assists.
• BU's three players with double-doubles already matches its total from last season.
 

CLEANING THE GLASS
• The Braves have dominated on the glass so far this season, especially on the offensive end.
• Bradley ranks third nationally by collecting 19.0 offensive rebounds per game and 37th in the NCAA with a rebounding margin of +11.5.
• Bradley totaled 23 offensive rebounds at Saint Joseph's – its most since grabbing 25 against Little Rock on Dec. 22, 2014.
• Koch Bar and Elijah Childs lead the Valley and rank 25th nationally with 4.50 offensive boards per game.
 

SHARING THE BALL
• The Braves have also excelled passing the ball during the 2019-20 campaign.
• Bradley ranks 30th nationally in assists per game (18.0), 35th in turnovers per game (10.5) and 25th in assist-turnover ratio (1.71).
• Senior Darrell Brown leads BU with 7.5 assists per game, ranking 11th nationally.
