PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore guard Tatum Koenig (West Branch, Iowa/West Branch) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Women's Basketball push its win streak to seven games with a 78-69 victory over Jackson State last week.

Koenig scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting and also collected six rebounds and five assists in last week's week win.  After scoring eight points in the first half, she nearly matched her previous career-high scoring output of 16 points in the second half as she hit 6-of-7 shots in the final 20 minutes and had 15 second-half points.  Koenig helped Bradley push its home win streak to 10, which is tied for the second longest in school history and longest for the Braves since winning 10 straight home games between the 1980-81 and 1981-82 seasons.  A public health education major, Koenig owns a 3.63 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Koenig and Bradley Women's Basketball travel to Kansas City, Mo., to face Liberty (Friday) and Eastern Washington (Saturday) at the Roo Holiday Classic in the final non-conference games of the year.
