CONWAY, AR – Central Arkansas took advantage of record-setting generosity from Bradley's pitching staff to salvage the final game of the season-opening baseball series Sunday afternoon at Bear Stadium.  Six Bradley pitchers combined to issue a program, single-game record 15 walks and plated four runs on wild pitches as UCA (1-2) captured the 13-9 victory.

The outcome overshadowed some impressive offensive performances from the Braves (2-1):  junior outfielder Dan Bolt homered and drove in five, while sophomore DH Eli Rawlinson matched the program single-game record by drawing four walks.  In addition, junior 3B Brendan Dougherty (3-for-6) and senior 2B Nick McMurray (3-for-5) both collected three hits.

After Bolt drove in the game's first runs with a 2-run single in the top of the first, UCA roughed up Bradley starter Sam Lund (L 0-1) for seven runs in the first two innings.

Although Bradley wound up outhitting the host Bears, 15-10, the Braves were unable to pull closer than two runs the rest of the game.

Despite Sunday's result and not having ventured outside prior to the weekend series, Bradley won at least two of its first three games for the fourth time in the last five years.

The Braves will return to action by playing four games next week in the Nashville area.  Participating in the Mule Mix Classic, Bradley will visit Austin Peay Thursday, Belmont Friday, Lipscomb Saturday and Middle Tennessee State Sunday.
