ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Junior Taylor Ledwein (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday afternoon after leading Bradley Women's Golf at the Lake Oconee Invitational in the team's spring opener.

Ledwein tied for 37th at the Lake Oconee Invitational played at the par-72 The National in Greensboro, Ga., this past weekend.  In a field which included nine teams ranked in the top 100 of the latest Golfweek.com rankings, including #5 Vanderbilt, Ledwein finished four shots out of the top 20 in a tie for 37th at +15 (231).  She opened play with the lowest round of the tournament for the Braves, a first-round 72, and also carded rounds of 79 and 80 as she helped Bradley to a 16th-place team finish.

The MVC Golfer of the Week selection is the first of the 2018-19 season for a Bradley Women's Golfer and Ledwein garnered the award for the fourth time in her career.  She is the sixth four-time MVC Golfer of the Week selection in program history, joining a list which includes Danielle Lemek (19), Bari Erais (6), Breanne Neufeld (6), Kelly Amundrud (6) and Meagan LeBlanc (4).

Ledwein owns a team-best 76.93 stroke average in 2018-19 and had a season-best finish at the MVC Preview to wrap up the Fall schedule, tying for fourth at the event.

Ledwein and the Braves return to action this weekend, playing at the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz., Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
