Men’s Golf Tied For 11th At Colin Montgomerie Invite

SPRING, Texas – Bradley Men's Golf is tied for 11th after day one of competition at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational with play suspended midway through the day's second round.
 
The Braves shot a 309 (+21) in their first round of the spring and were 12th in the 16-team field at the par-72 Augusta Pines Golf Course after 18 holes of play.  Lightning late in the day's first round forced a delay and most individuals had six to eight holes remaining in the second round when play was suspended due to darkness.
 
Bradley was +5 in the second round when the teams left the course for the ninth-best second-round score in the field as the Braves had climbed one spot into a tie with Incarnate Word and Stetson for 11th overall at +26. 
 
Florida Gulf Coast and North Dakota State were tied atop the leaderboard at the end of Monday's action at even par.  Prairie View A&M was third in the team standings at +3 and Houston was fourth at +5. 
 
Senior Branden Mounce paced Bradley on the opening day of the spring season and is tied for 31st at +5.  He opened the tournament with the low round of the day among the Braves with a 74 and was +3 through the first 12 holes of the afternoon's round.
 
Junior Charles Jahn sits one shot back of Mounce at +6 in a tie for 39th.  After a first round 78, Jahn was even through 11 holes in the second round.  Senior Michael Mounce is +7 for the tournament, rebounding from a first-round 80 to card a one-under through 11 holes in the afternoon.  He is tied for 51st overall in the 88-person field.
 
Fellow Senior Drake Bushong was three-over through 10 holes of the second round.  He shot a 78 to start the day and heads into Tuesday's action at nine-over par in a tie for 60thDaniel Lensing rounded out the lineup for Bradley in a tie for 75th (+13).  Lensing turned in a first-round 79 and was +6 through the first 10 holes of the afternoon round.
 
Play at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational will resume Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
