MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE OPENER

•    Bradley and Evansville will open their Missouri Valley Conference seasons this weekend by playing a 3-game series at Dozer Park.
•    The series against the Purple Aces will be Bradley's sixth multiple-game set against an opponent this season ... the Braves (3-1-1 in the series scenarios) have won three 3-game series, 2-games-to-1; lost one series at UNLV, 2-games-to-1; and split a doubleheader at Middle Tennessee State.
•    The Braves have not opened league play in home in March since taking 2-of-3 games from Southern Illinois March 27-29, 2015 at Dozer Park.

AND NOW A PARADE OF HOME GAMES
•    Bradley opened the season by playing its first 18 games away from home, before hosting MacMurray in Wednesday night's Dozer Park season debut.
•    The 7-1 victory against the Highlanders started a 9-game home stand.
•    The Braves will play 12 of their next 13 games at Dozer Park and all of their scheduled 21 home games for the season will be packed into a 30-game stretch ending May 12 against Illinois State.

SERIES HISTORY
Games 97-99:  Evansville leads 53-43 overall, 22-19 at BU
•    This weekend's 3-game series represents games 97-98 and 99 in the all-time series between Bradley and Evansville, which dates back to a non-conference doubleheader March 20, 1981 at Evansville.
•    The Purple Aces maintain a 53-43 lead in the all-time series, including a 49-37 edge as Missouri Valley Conference rivals since Evansville joined the league for the 1995 baseball season.
•    Evansville is 22-19 all-time against the Braves in Peoria, though Bradley maintains a slight, 13-12, edge in games played at Dozer Park.
•    In his 11th year as Bradley head coach, Elvis Dominguez is 14-19 against the Purple Aces.

SERIES WIN STREAK
•    Bradley swept last year's 3-game series at Evansville April 13-15, marking the fifth time the Braves have won three consecutive games against the Purple Aces.
•    As the teams prepare for Friday's series opener, Bradley has never won four consecutive games against Evansville.
3-Game Win Series Streaks  4th Game

LOOKING AHEAD
•    Following the weekend series against Evansville, Bradley will continue its 9-game home stand by hosting in-state rivals Western Illinois Tuesday and SIU Edwardsville Wednesday, both 6 p.m. starts at Dozer Park.
•    SIUE is led by former Bradley associate head coach Sean Lyons, now in his third year with the Cougars.
