Tennis Hosts I-74 Rival Illinois State to Start MVC Slate

After missing the previous seven dual matches due to injury, Marjanovic returned to the courts during the team's spring break trip and was key to Bradley's 2-1 record during its travels … After dropping a tightly-contested match Tuesday at Southern Miss, Marjanovic delivered a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 Singles in Wednesday's 4-3 win at Nicholls State … She added a 3-set win at No. 6, pulling out the third set in a tie-breaker, to help the Braves rally for a 5-2 win Thursday at New Orleans.
 
PLAYING FOR 20
As Bradley prepares to host I-74 rival Illinois State Saturday, sophomore Sandra Maletin carries a 19-6 season singles record into the Missouri Valley Conference opener … With her next victory, Maletin will become the sixth player in program history to win as many as 20 singles matches in a season, all since 2014-15.
 
ALREADY A TOP 10 SEASON
With an 11-6 (.647) dual match record through the end of the non-conference season, Bradley already has enjoyed one of the winningest seasons in the program's 42-year history … The 11 wins to date are tied for the eighth-most in a season in program history … The Braves won a program-record 14 dual matches in 1986-87 (14-7), then matched the mark in 1992-93 (14-7).
