PEORIA, IL – Held to two runs on five hits through the first eight innings, Evansville (14-9, 3-0 MVC) rallied for four runs on four hits off Bradley closer Allan Beer to complete a weekend Missouri Valley Conference baseball sweep with a 6-4 victory Sunday afternoon at Dozer Park.

Beer entered the game 2-0 with five saves, a 0.82 earned run average and a .179 opponent batting average, but the Aces were not rattled.  Evansville needed just three pitches to put runners on the corners with no outs, then got a fielder's choice ground ball to pull within 4-3.  After a walk put runners at first and second, Nate Reeder and Tanner Craig followed with RBI singles to put Evansville out in front.

Craig was 3-for-5 with three RBI's Sunday and finished the 3-game series 7-for-14 with six RBI's.  He also had the game-winning RBI in Friday's 1-0 Evansville win and scored what proved to be the deciding run in Saturday's 4-2 Aces victory.

Trailing 2-0 entering the bottom of the third, Bradley pulled even on Jean-Francois Garon's 2-run home run off the netting that protects Jefferson Street well beyond the left field wall.  The Braves took their first lead of the series, 4-2, in the eighth inning when Nick McMurray came through with a RBI single and Luke Shadid followed with a sacrifice fly.

The Braves will continue their 9-game home stand with a pair of midweek games at Dozer Park, both 6 p.m. starts Tuesday against Western Illinois and Wednesday versus SIU Edwardsville.

Notes:  Andy Shadid became the first Bradley Baseball player to reach 30 career sacrifice bunts when he executed a sacrifice in the seventh inning … Freshman 1B Connor O'Brien was 3-for-4 and sophomore C Keaton Rice was 3-for-3 with a walk in his four plate appearances … Bradley outhit Evansville in each of the last two games by a 22-15 count … Luke Shadid was 1-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI, pushing his team-leading totals in both categories to 17 and 21, respectively.
