MIDWEEK PAIR
•    Bradley will host a pair of in-state rivals in midweek games Tuesday (Western Illinois) and Wednesday (SIU Edwardsville) at Dozer Park.
•    The Braves will be looking to snap its longest skid of the season after dropping all three games in the weekend Missouri Valley Conference series against Evansville.
•    The midweek games will be Nos. 5 and 6 in a season-long, 9-game home stand, matching the team's longest home stand since a 10-game stretch April 24-May 12, 2019.

OWNING THE LAND OF LINCOLN
•    Despite losing 2-of-3 games at Southern Illinois to close the 2018 regular season (the series finale was cut short to a 5-inning final after Bradley had tied the game with three runs in the top of the sixth before storms hit Carbondale), the Braves posted a 12-3 (.800) record against teams from their home state of Illinois in 2018.
•    The Braves are 44-17 (.721) against Illinois teams since the start of the 2014 season.
•    Included in that record is a 33-15 (.688) mark against eight of the nine Illinois NCAA Division I "state" schools (no games vs Eastern Illinois).

STELLAR, SANS 1
•    Bradley's pitching staff has been stellar to date this season, sans one of its first 22 games.
•    Bradley enters the week leading The Valley and ranked second nationally with a 2.55 staff earned run average.
•    The only staff hiccup through the first 22 games came in the opening series finale Feb. 17 at UCA, when six hurlers allowed 13 runs on 10 hits and a program single-game record 15 walks.
•    In the season's other 21 games, the Bradley staff is 12-9 with a 2.14 ERA, a .214 opponent batting average and 158 strikeouts against 77 walks.
•    In those 21-game statistics, Bradley's ERA would lead the nation by 33 points and the 6.89 hits allowed per nine innings would rank ninth.

20 SCORELESS
•    For the third time in the last five years, the Bradley pitching staff has enjoyed a streak of at least 20.0 consecutive scoreless innings pitched.
•    The latest such streak, exactly 20.0 IP, ended in the eighth inning Tuesday night at Iowa when the Hawkeyes broke the shutout run with two outs.
•    Ten different pitchers contributed to the 20-inning scoreless streak, which began with two outs in the sixth inning March 21 against Dartmouth.

LOCAL LEADERS
•    Bradley's roster includes seven players from Peoria and nearby Tazwell Counties.
•    Of those seven, junior SS Luke Shadid (Peoria) leads the Braves in batting (.384), runs (17), RBI (21) and slugging percentage (.545).
•    Senior LHP Cole Cook (Washington, IL) is 2-0 and leads the qualifying pitchers with a 1.47 ERA in his nine appearances, while senior RHP Mitch Janssen (Princeville, IL) is 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA in his seven starts.

COOKING SEASON DEBUT
•    Senior LHP Cole Cook turned in one of the best outings of his career while working out of the bullpen in the season-opener at Central Arkansas.
•    Cook tossed 5.0 scoreless innings, scattering five hits while striking out nine against no walks to close out the 5-2 victory.
•    Cook struck out seven of UCA's final nine hitters, including a streak of six consecutive batters fanned for the final two outs of the seventh, all three batters in the eighth and the leadoff hitter in the ninth.
•    Cook has ridden that first outing to a 2-0 record and 1.47 ERA, which ranks 47th nationally, in nine appearances to date this season.

SACRIFICING FOR THE TEAM
•    Bradley ranks 13th nationally with 22 sacrifice bunts through 22 games.
•    Those 22 sacrifices have come from 11 different players.
•    Through his first 10 years as Bradley head coach, Elvis Dominguez's squads own five of the 10 most sacrifice-bunt totals in a season in program history.
