Track & Field 4/12/2019 2:45:00 PM
The Bradley track teams make the short trip to Champaign this weekend for the Illini Twilight on Saturday.

MEET INFO
Action begins at Illinois on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. with the last event scheduled to start at 9:40 p.m. After a select number of runners in each of the last two weekends, Bradley will feature its deepest team of season on Saturday with the Braves competing in both sprint and distance events at Illinois.

BRAVES AT ILLINOIS
The Braves are competing in the meet for the first time since the 2017 campaign. BU set 13 PRs when it last competed at the Illinois Twilight two years ago with Abby Jockisch highlighting the women's team performance in the 5,000m run and Taylor Floyd Mews leading the men in the 1,500m.

NCAA PRELIMINARY WATCH LIST
With less than a month until the championship season begins, a number of Braves find themselves in the national and west region rankings.

Haran Dunderdale leads the Braves in the 1,500m and 3,000m steeplechase. The senior ranks 19th nationally (15th in the west) in the steeplechase, while also placing 78th in the country (36th in the west) in the 1,500m. Alec Hartman and Scott Seymour are both ranked nationally in the 800m. Hartman is 34th among all runners and 20th in west, while Seymour is 88th in the country and 38th regionally. Additionally, a trio of Braves rank highly in the 10,000m as Michael Ward, Jake Hoffert and Luke Hoffert are 28th, 34th and 55th, respectively, in the west region.

McKenzie Altmayer is the top-ranked runner on the women's team as she enters the weekend 32nd in the west and 66th nationally in the 3,000m steeplechase. Other Braves to rank regionally are Gabby Juarez (54th) and Abby Jockisch (56th) in the 10,000m, Niamh Markham in the 1,500m (60th) and Kathryn Adelman (87th) in the 800m.

The top 48 runners in the regional rankings qualify automatically for the NCAA West Preliminary in May.

UP NEXT
The Braves head to California next week for a pair of meets. The Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational are both set to begin on Thursday and run through Saturday.
