SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. – Junior Charles Jahn finished eighth and senior Drake Bushong was ninth as the pair helped lead Bradley Men's Golf to a fourth-place team finish at the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship.

Jahn tied a career-best with a four-under par 68 at the par-72 Club at Porto Cima, while Bushong carded a three-over 75 in his final collegiate round during Tuesday's action to conclude the 2019 Valley Championship.

Bradley turned in its lowest team round (291) since firing matching 287's at the rain-shortened Twin Oaks Intercollegiate in Springfield, Mo., back in mid-March and finished fourth overall in the final team standings at 30-over par 894.

Southern Illinois posted the low round of the tournament Tuesday, firing a seven-under 281 to finish at five-under 859 and claim the team title by 10 shots.  Pre-championship favorite Illinois State was second at five-over 869, while Missouri State was third overall at 20-over par 884, to edge fourth-place Bradley by 10 strokes.  The Braves held an eight-shot edge on fifth-place Valparaiso (902) in the nine-team field.

Jahn turned in five birdies and matched the low round of his career with a four-under 68 to finish eighth in the individual standings at two-over 218, finishing two shots back of a tie for fifth and six shots behind a tie for first between Illinois State's David Rauer and Kory Franks of Missouri State at four-under 212.  Jahn closed the season with a team-best 73.07 stroke average, which ranks third all-time among Bradley season marks.

Bushong, who became the first four-time All-MVC performer in program history and is one of just eight four-time All-Valley honorees in league history, birdied the par-4, 17th hole to finish at three-over 75.  He was ninth overall at three-over 219 to earn his 18th career top-10 finish.  Bushong closed the season with a 73.26 for the fifth-lowest season average in Bradley history, giving him two of the top five season stroke averages.  In addition, Bushong finished out his time on The Hilltop with a 73.77 career stroke average for the second-best mark at BU.

Senior Branden Mounce eagled the par-5, 15th hole during a final round 75, placing 21st overall at 229 to miss a top-20 finish by one shot.  He closed his time on Bradley with the 10th-best career stroke average (75.74) in program history.

Fellow senior Daniel Lensing carded three birdies on the back nine, including back-to-back birdies on #15 and #16 during a one-over 73.  Lensing moved up 13 spots on the final day, earning a share of 26th at 232.

Senior Michael Mounce rounded out the team scoring for Bradley in a tie for 33rd at 234, to finish two back of Lensing.  Michael, who closed the season with a 74.00 stroke average, posted a final round 78 and finished out his time at BU with a 75.09 career stoke average to rank sixth in school history.
