SPRINGFIELD, MO – Bradley exploded for 14 runs in the last three innings and finished with 12 extra base hits in the game to earn their second come-from-behind win of the weekend against host Missouri State, the latest a 16-9 victory Saturday afternoon at Hammons Field.

Rallying from 5-2 and 9-7 deficits, the Braves (26-13, 6-5 MVC) secured just their second road series win all-time against Missouri State (13-29, 4-7 MVC).  Bradley's only other series win at Missouri State came in 1993, when the Braves swept a doubleheader.  The Braves will try to top that 2-game sweep 26 years ago when they play for the 3-game weekend sweep Sunday.

Senior CF Andy Shadid highlighted Saturday's rally by going 3-for-5 with six RBI.  He hit a 3-run double in the seventh inning, legged out a second double in the eighth inning and capped the scoring with a 3-run home run in the ninth inning.  Shadid's late-game efforts are a microcosm of Bradley's day at the plate.  Trailing 5-2 entering the seventh inning, Bradley scored five times in the seventh, four times in the eighth and five more in the ninth, clubbing five doubles and four home runs over the last three innings.

Among Bradley's many offensive highlights, Andy's younger brother, SS Luke Shadid, also hit a 2-run home run in the ninth inning.  Already the only pair of Bradley siblings to homer in the same game since at least World War II, the each homered in the same inning for the first time.  All nine Bradley position players collected at least one hit and reached base safely at least two times.  Luke Shadid and Brendan Dougherty both collected a double and a home run Saturday.

Andy Shadid also moved into Bradley's all-time top 10 in home runs, RBI and at-bats Saturday.  He is now tied for ninth with 24 career home runs, while ranking 10th with 132 career RBI and 680 at-bats.

Despite allowing five runs on four hits in his 2.1 innings, junior RHP Jed Moscot (W 4-1) earned the win on the mound for the Braves.  Senior RHP Allan Beer pitched two scoreless innings to close out the win and earn his seventh save of the year to equal the third-best single-season total in program history.  Beer's 15 career saves rank second in Bradley history.

The teams will play the final game of the weekend series Sunday when they meet for an 11 a.m. start at Hammons Field.
