Haran Dunderdale Named COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior runner Haran Dunderdale (Grantham, England/Carres) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after highlighting competition for the Bradley Track & Field team at last weekend's Raleigh Relays.

Dunderdale placed second of 58 runners in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 8:50.95 Friday at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. The 2018 Valley champion in the event missed his personal best by five one-hundredths of a second with his mark ranking first in the conference this season by nearly 10 seconds and 18th nationally. A finance major, Dunderdale owns a 3.24 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Dunderdale and the Bradley Track & Field teams return to action this weekend at the Gibson Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., Friday and Saturday.
