Braves Track Heads to Indiana State

After a strong start to the outdoor campaign, the Bradley track teams continue action at Indiana State for the Gibson Invitational on Saturday.

MEET INFO
The meet begins on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT with the Braves slated to compete against the host Sycamores, Butler, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Northwood, Southeast Missouri State and Valparaiso.

DUNDERDALE NAMED VALLEY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Senior Haran Dunderdale collected Missouri Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week accolades for the second time this season on Tuesday. He was honored after placing second in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Raleigh Relays, clocking the 18th-best time in the nation at 8:50.95.

BRAVES IN THE VALLEY RANKINGS
After finishing the opening month of the outdoor campaign, the Braves rank in the top five 20 times in the Valley rankings.

Three Braves are first after finishing March – Alec Hartman in the 800m, Will Anderson in the 5,000m and Haran Dunderdale in the 3,000m steeplechase. Dunderdale is also second in the conference in the 1,500m, while other BU men to rank in the top five include Alec Danner (5,000m, 3rd), Michael Hahndorf (5,000m, 4th), Jake Hoffert (10,000m, 4th), Luke Hoffert (10,000m, 5th), Evan Mitchell (3,000m steeplechase, 3rd), Scott Seymour (800m, 4th) and Michael Ward (10,000m, 3rd).

A trio of Braves rank second in their respective event to lead the BU women – Kathryn Adelman in the 800m, Niamh Markham in the 1,500m and McKenzie Altmayer in the 3,000m steeplechase. Other Braves in the top five include Emma Ehrhardt (5,000m, 3rd), Abby Jockisch (10,000m, 4th), Gabby Juarez (10,000m, 3rd), Kirstin Oakley (5,000m, 4th) and Brooke Nusser (800m, 5th and 1,500m, 5th).

LAST YEAR AT ISU
The Braves posted 10 top-10 times in school history in addition to 17 PRs at the 2018 Gibson Invitational. The men's 800m led the way as four different Braves added their name to the BU record book. Alec Hartman set the Gibson Invitational record and posted the second-best time in school history to highlight the performances at Indiana State.
