TERRE HAUTE, IN - Locked in a 5-team logjam that leaves open the possibility of a Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship, as well as a fall to the No. 5 seed for next week's MVC Baseball Championship, Bradley and Indiana State will wrap up the 2019 regular season by facing off in a 3-game series Thursday, Friday and Saturday at ISU's Bob Warn Field.

FIRST-TO-FIFTH AT STAKE
•    Heading into the final series of the regular season, Bradley and Indiana State are locked in a logjam that has both teams in a race that can lead to at least a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title or as low as the No. 5 seed for next week's MVC Baseball Championship.
•    Bradley enters its 3-game series at Indiana State tied for fourth in the league standings with Evansville, one game back of the third-place Sycamores and two behind co-leaders Dallas Baptist and Illinois State.
•    Bradley can claim a share of its first Valley title since 1968 if the Braves win two more games at Indiana State than both Dallas Baptist (at Southern Illinois) and Illinois State (vs. Evansville) win in their final series.
•    Indiana State can claim an outright league championship by winning two more games against Bradley than both Dallas Baptist and Illinois State win in their final series.

NEW TOURNEY FORMAT
•    With a new format to the Missouri Valley Conference postseason tournament comes new pressure to finish in the top half of the regular-season league standings.
•    The top four tournament seeds will receive a bye into the six-team, double-elimination bracket that will begin the tournament's second day Wednesday, May 22.
•    The bottom four tournament seeds will play a single-elimination game Tuesday, May 21 to earn the last two spots in the double-elimination bracket.
•    The winner of the Bradley-Indiana State series is guaranteed a top four tournament seed, but the series loser could drop into the No. 5 seed, pending the Illinois State-Evansville series results.

BACK-TO-BACK 30's
•    Bradley has followed up last year's 32-19 record by carrying a 30-16 record into this week's series at Indiana State.
•    The Braves had not won at least 30 games in consecutive seasons since a 5-year run from 1992-96: 1992 (34-23-1), 1993 (40-16), 1994 (35-26), 1995 (30-27), 1996 (40-22).
•    Bradley's current 2-year winning percentage of .639 is its best 2-year mark since the 1993 and 1994 squads combined for a .641 winning percentage and is the third-best since Bradley annually began playing more than 30 games in a season in 1974.

SERIES HISTORY - INDIANA STATE
Games 151-153:  Indiana State leads 89-61, 45-26 in Terre Haute
•    The rivalry against Indiana State dates back to a non-conference doubleheader April 25, 1975 at Peoria's old Meinen Field, where the Braves earned a sweep, 7-2 and 10-2.
•    Although Bradley won 2-of-3 in last year's season series at Dozer Park, Indiana State swept the 3-game set the last time the Braves visited Bob Warn Field in 2017.
•    Although Bradley has won just 26-of-71 (.366) all-time road games at Indiana State, the Braves are 8-5 in the month of May on the road against the Sycamores, winning the 2015 series (2-games-to-1) and the 2014 MVC Tournament first-round game.
