Summer League Highlights (June 12, 2019)
Nic Anderson | Everett Merchants (Pacific International League)
A rising senior from Marysville, WA, Anderson has reached base safely in all six games he has played to start the PIL season.  With eight walks to his credit, Anderson will carry a .400 on-base percentage into tonight's exhibition game against the Everett Aquasox, the Class A Short Season Northwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

Dan Bolt | Upper Valley Nighthawks (New England Collegiate Baseball League)
A rising senior outfielder for the Braves, Bolt has gotten off to a strong start for the Nighthawks.  He has hit safely in each of the first five games of the NECBL season, most-recently going 2-for-5 with a double from the leadoff spot Tuesday night.  Through five games, Bolt is batting .273 (6-22) with two doubles.

Cole Cook | Morehead City Marlins (Coastal Plain League)
Reminiscent of Bradley's 2019 series against Southern Illinois, when Cook finished the first game of a doubleheader and then started the second game, the crafty lefthander made his Morehead City Marlins debut by starting consecutive days on the mound.  Cook tossed the first 2.0 innings of Sunday's 6-2 win against Wilmington, a scoreless effort to lead off Morehead City's 6-2 win.  He came back Monday and fired the first 3.2 innings in an eventual 6-5 loss at Peninsula, allowing three runs (one earned).  In 5.2 IP to date, Cook has surrendered nine hits, but just one earned run, good for a 1.59 season ERA.

Theron Denlinger | Madison Mallards (Northwoods League)
After earning All-Missouri Valley Conference second team honors in his debut season for the Braves, rising senior RHP Theron Denlinger has continued his dominance to start the Northwoods League summer season.  Denlinger has appeared in six games for Madison, going 1-0 with three saves.  The hard throwing righty has allowed only one hit and no runs in his 4.1 IP to date, while striking out eight.

Troy Hickey | Kenosha Kingfish (Northwoods League)
Incoming LHP Troy Hickey enjoyed a pair of strong outings out of the bullpen for the Kenosha Kingfish, before hitting a roadbump Tuesday night.  In his first two outings, Hickey earned a 4-inning save by striking out five in a scoreless outing June 3, then followed with a scoreless inning in his second appearance Saturday.  Hickey (0-1) took the loss Tuesday night, however, by allowing two runs on a hit and three walks in 0.1 innings.

Connor Manthey | Hannibal Hoots (Prospect League)
A rising sophomore, Manthey reached base safely in each of his first five games, before suffering an 0-for-4 night Tuesday against DuPage.  Manthey homered in consecutive games June 5 at Normal and June 6 versus Quincy.  In his six games to date, Manthey is batting .227 (5-22) with a double, two home runs and five RBI.

Paxton Thompson | Upper Valley Nighthawks (New England Collegiate Baseball League)
A rising sophomore RHP, Thompson was the opening-day starter on the mound for Upper Valley, scattering three hits and allowing one run in his 4.0 innings to start a 14-8 victory June 6 against Keene.  Thompson fanned five an allowed only one walk in his lone appearance to date.  Keene has gone on to score 33 runs in the 3+ games since Thompson exited the opener.
