PEORIA, IL – Eleven returning players for the 2019 Bradley Soccer team are continuing to develop their game this summer by participating in various amateur leagues around the country and across the ocean.

Six Braves are training in the United Premier Soccer League, including three as teammates for FC Diablos and two as teammates for Union Dubuque. Rising senior John Pollifrone is training with Old Bhoys Soccer Club (Indianapolis) in the UPSL Midwest Conference South Division, while senior forward Roman Schindler, redshirt junior forward TJ Rea and junior defender Jordan Walpole train together with FC Diablos in the same division.  Redshirt sophomore defender Jack Dunn and redshirt senior goalkeeper Nathan Wisbey are summer teammates with Union Dubuque in the UPSL Midwest Conference Central Division.

Two Braves are competing in the former Premier Development League, now known as USL League Two (USL 2):  redshirt senior keeper Albert Reinwart has joined the Dayton Dutch Lions and junior forward Gerit Wintermeyer Chicago FC United.  Both teams compete in the USL 2 Great Lakes Division.

Junior midfielder Mikey Conneh, who transferred to Bradley from Penn State during the winter break, is playing for AFC Mobile in the Gulf Coast Premier League, while redshirt senior forward Jha'Lon Johnson is looking to join Minneapolis City SC in the National Premier Soccer League.

Heading across the pond, senior defender/midfielder David Schulte-Südhoff returned to his native Germany to train with SV Lengerich in the Möbel Wilken Liga.

Among the highlights during the early portion of the summer season:
  • Pollifrone's Old Bhoys Soccer Club squad returned to Central Illinois Thursday and dealt host FC Diablo a 6-0 exhibition thrashing at The Corn Crib in neaby Normal, IL.  OBSC currently owns six points in the UPSL Midwest Conference South Division standings with two wins and two losses in its four matches, while FC Diablo has not yet recorded a point in its first three matches.
  • Chicago FC United is coming off a 3-2 win against Dayton Dutch Lions Sunday, though stats from the game featuring Wintermeyer and Reinwart have not been reported.
  • Conneh's AFC Mobile squad currently is tied for second in the GCPL standings with 10 points, based on its early, 3-0-1 record. AFC Mobile is coming off a 4-3 win Saturday at Pensacola FC.
