Season-to-Date Notes
  • Rising senior RHP Theron Denlinger has helped the Madison Mallards to a 7-0 start in the Northwoods League.  In four appearances, Denlinger owns a team-best two saves and has allowed only one hit while striking out six in his 3.2 IP.
  • In his lone appearance to date for the Kenosha Kingfish in the Northwoods League, incoming junior LHP Troy Hickey earned a 4-inning save by allowing no runs on no hits and one walk, with five strikeouts, in Monday's 6-2 against Traverse City.
  • After Bradley infielders Brendan Dougherty and Luke Shadid helped the Morehead City Marlins to the 2018 Coastal Plain League championship, pitchers Cole Cook and Jed Moscot are suiting up for the Marlins in 2019.  Morehead City has opened with a 3-1 record with Moscot earning the win with one inning of scoreless relief in Monday's 4-3 victory against the Fayetteville SwampDogs.  Cook has not yet appeared for the Marlins.
  • Connor O'Brien's San Diego Waves opened the Western Baseball Association season Sunday with a 6-1 win against the Colton Nighthawks, though no stats are available from the game.
  • The Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League season opens Tuesday with a quartet of Braves – rising sophomore Eli Campbell with Bradley newcomers Peter Hansen, Nick King and Braden Mork - teaming up for the Paducah Chiefs.
  • The New England Collegiate Baseball League season begins Wednesday with Dan Bolt and Paxton Thompson teaming for the Upper Valley Nighthawks.
  • Neither Jordan Bailey nor Connor Manthey have appeared in a game for the Hannibal Hoots (0-3), who will visit the Normal CornBelters Wednesday night in Prospect League action at the Corn Crib.
  • The Cape Cod Baseball League is scheduled to begin play June 10 with Brooks Gosswein's and Keaton Rice's Wareham Gatemen hosting the Brewster Whitecaps.
