PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Women's Golf hits the halfway point of its fall schedule next week, taking part in the Missouri Valley Conference Preview in Burlington, Iowa, Monday and Tuesday

The Braves will be joined at the MVC Preview by all nine other MVC squads along with four other teams at the par-72, 6,245-yard Spirit Hollow Golf Course, which will serve as site for the 2020 MVC Championship this coming April.

Tournament play gets underway Monday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start to the day's 36 holes.  The teams conclude the event Tuesday with a single round that will also feature an 8 a.m. shotgun start.  BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring for all three rounds.

Bradley has already faced six other Valley teams, finishing ahead of Drake, Evansville, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola and Southern Illinois at the season-opening Redbird Invitational two weeks ago.

"We are thrilled with the performance thus far," said Bradley head coach Halley Morell.  "Everyone is working hard each day concentrating on their short game. We are very confident going into the Preview, and looking forward to seeing how we stack up with the rest of the league teams."

In addition to a second-place finish at the season-opening Redbird Invitational, Bradley also had a strong showing at the Cardinal Classic in Yorktown, Ind., where the Braves were fourth of 11 teams despite missing senior Taylor Ledwein for the second consecutive tournament to start the year.

Sophomore Elyse Emerzian has been the top finisher for Bradley at each of the first two tournaments and owns a team-best 74.33 stroke average on the young season.  Emerzian has shot 76 or better in all six rounds this year and tied for 12th at the Cardinal Classic earlier this week.

Junior Maddie Hawkins is coming off her third career top-20 finish, tying for 17th at the Cardinal Classic and has fired a 77 or better in each of her last five rounds.

Freshman Mara Flaherty has been among the team's top three finishers in each of her first two collegiate outings, while senior Megan Medinger is second on the squad with a 75.67 stroke average through two tournaments.  Sophomore Sarah Nacos opened the Cardinal Classic earlier this week with a career-best three-over 75 and rounds out the Bradley lineup.

After playing three tournaments in a little over two weeks to start the fall schedule, Bradley will have a break before returning to action Oct. 21 & 22 at the Chippewa Invitational in Birmingham, Mich.
