Basketball Announces Preseason Events Schedule

Bradley basketball fans will have four opportunities to see the Braves before the 2019-20 season tips off with the school's preseason events schedule announced on Thursday.
 
The Braves are set to host the Bradley Basketball Spaghetti Supper presented by Avanti's on Thursday, Sept. 26, a men's basketball open scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Red-White Scrimmage on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and a men's basketball open practice for season-ticket holders on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
 

Spaghetti Supper Presented by Avanti's
Doors for the annual Spaghetti Supper open at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at ITOO Hall before dinner is served at 6 p.m. The Voice of the Braves, Dave Snell, will lead a short program at 7 p.m. featuring fifth-year men's basketball head coach Brian Wardle, fourth-year women's basketball head coach Andrea Gorski and both the men's and women's basketball teams.
 
Tickets, which include a spaghetti dinner from Avanti's, chicken and all beverages, are $18 for adults, $15 for Braves Club members and $8 for youth (4-14). Children three and under are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office or by calling the Braves Club at (309) 677-2667. There will also be a limited number of tickets available at the door at ITOO Hall on Sept. 26 for $20.
 

Men's Basketball Open Scrimmage & Alumni Event Presented by Dac's Smokehouse
As part of Bradley's homecoming week, the men's basketball team is holding an open scrimmage at Renaissance Coliseum featuring both the 2019-20 team and BU alumni. This year's squad is set to scrimmage from 11 a.m. to noon and will be followed by alumni and the current Bradley coaching staff from noon to 1 p.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. and is free for all fans to attend.
 

Red-White Scrimmage
The annual Red-White Scrimmage follows on Oct. 15 with both the men's and women's teams featured in the event. Admission at Renaissance Coliseum is free for fans to attend and begins at 6 p.m. with an autograph session following the scrimmage.
 

Men's Basketball Season-Ticket Holder Open Practice
A special season-ticket holder event for the Bradley men's basketball program then completes the four preseason events on Oct. 22 at Renaissance Coliseum. The exclusive event for BU season-ticket holders begins at 6 p.m. with an open practice. During the practice, Coach Wardle will be mic'd up so fans in attendance can hear his interaction and instruction with the team.
 
A meet-and-greet with players and coaches follow the hour-long practice as well as a Q-and-A with Coach Wardle. Complimentary soft drinks and snacks will also be available during the event on the concourse area in Renaissance Coliseum.
 
The event is open to all season ticket holders. Fans interested in attending should RSVP by Monday, Oct. 21 through an online form. Season ticket status will be verified after submission and the number of guests attending the event cannot exceed the number of season tickets for each individual account.
 
The Bradley men's basketball team is coming off a season where it won its first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in 31 years, earning an automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The BU women have improved their win total in each of the last four years, highlighted by the third 20-win season in program history in 2018-19.
