MVC SINGLES PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK
Sandra Maletin, Bradley, Jr., Belgrade, Serbia
  • Maletin turned in a pair of dominant, straight-sets wins at the No. 1 position during Bradley's season-opening weekend versus IUPUI and Murray State.
  • The two-time MVC All-Select honoree began the season Friday with a 6-2, 6-2 victory against IUPUI's Krystal Grubb, giving the Braves a 2-0 lead in their eventual 5-2 victory against the Jaguars.
  • In Saturday's matchup against Murray State, Maletin flipped the script from a straight-sets loss to the Racers' Claire Chang last year by rolling to a 6-1, 6-2 win against the two-time All-OVC performer to put the Braves on the board.
  • With her two weekend wins, Maletin moved into 10th place on Bradley's career singles victory list, now boasting a 47-23 (.671) career record.
  • Maletin's selection for the MVC Singles Player of the Week Tuesday was her fourth career honor.

DOUBLES TEAM-OF-THE-WEEK NOMINEE
Bozana Lojpur, Bradley, So., Burnaby, British Columbia
Nikki Perlwitz, Bradley, So., Weston, FL
  • The Lojpur/Perlwitz duo enjoyed a 2-0 season-opening weekend playing in Bradley's No. 2 Doubles position, posting a pair of 6-3 victories against IUPUI and Murray State.
  • Friday's win against IUPUI clinched the doubles point for the Braves in an eventual 5-2 victory.
  • Saturday's win against the senior twin-sisters pairing of Anja and Sara Loncarevic evened the doubles score at 1-1 against Murray State.

CRACKING THE TOP 10 LISTS
  • Junior Sandra Maletin and senior Natalia Barbery both cracked Bradley career top-10 lists during the team's season-opening weekend.
  • With her pair of wins at No. 1 Singles, Maletin overtook Cassia Wojtalik (2011-15) for 10th on Bradley's career singles wins list and now owns a 47-23 (.671) record.
  • By teaming with Maletin in Friday's 6-2 win at No. 1 Doubles against IUPUI, Barbery earned her 45th career doubles victory to move into a 3-way tie for 10th on Bradley's career doubles wins list.

WEEKEND TRIP TO SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS
  • Bradley will return to action by playing a pair of dual matches in southwestern Illinois this weekend.
  • The Braves will visit SIU Edwardsville Friday afternoon in Edwardsville, IL and Saint Louis Saturday evening in O'Fallon, IL.
  • Having won three of the last four meetings, Bradley will be trying to even its all-time record against SIU Edwardsville, which owns a 6-5 edge against the Braves.
  • Saint Louis maintains a 14-4 advantage all-time against Bradley, but the Braves snapped a 10-match losing skid versus the Billikens with a 4-3 home victory last year.
  • Bradley has not won a road dual against Saint Louis since a 6-3 victory April 14, 1994, currently a 7-match road drought in the series.
