Game Recap: Men's Basketball |
Peoria, Ill. – The Bradley men's basketball team cruised to the largest win in school history on Tuesday night, defeating Judson by 73 points in a 105-32 victory at Carver Arena. With the win, the Braves improve to 3-1 during the 2020-21 campaign.

The 73-point margin tops the previous record of 61, set in 1971 against Chicago State. Judson's 32 points are also the fewest allowed by the Braves in the shot-clock era.

All 14 Braves in action scored with five reaching double figures as Bradley scored in triple figures for the first time in 13 seasons. Senior Elijah Childs, juniors Ja'Shon Henry and Terry Nolan Jr. and sophomore Ville Tahvanainen led Bradley with a dozen points, while redshirt freshman Rienk Mast added 11 points – his first career double-digit scoring day.

Junior Ari Boya led Bradley with 10 rebounds and three blocks, while senior Danya Kingsby paced the BU attack with four assists.

The Braves dominated from start to finish in the contest and, for the second-straight game, never trailed en route to victory. Bradley tallied the first 14 points of the game and led by 28 points, 31-3, just over 10 minutes into the contest. BU would outscore the Eagles by 36 points in the first half, 53-17, before a 37-point difference, 52-15, in the second 20 minutes of action.

Overall, the Braves shot 51.4 percent in the winning effort, while holding the Eagles to just 19.4 percent shooting – the second-lowest mark by a Bradley opponent in school history.

Bradley returns to action with a home game against South Dakota State.

Game Notes: Bradley defeated Chicago State, 127-66, on Feb. 27, 1971 for its previous largest margin of victory … The Braves held Indiana State to 36 points in a win on Feb. 17, 1993 in its previous low allowed during the shot clock era (since 1986-87) … Judson's 19.4 percent shooting was the second lowest only to the 18.2 percent shooting that Oakland finished with on Dec. 6, 1997 … BU has held its first four opponents to 60 points or fewer to start the season for the first time since 1949-50 … The Braves last eclipsed 100 points on March 1, 2008 against Creighton in a double-overtime game with the last time in regulation coming against Drake on Feb. 10, 2007 … Bradley has won its last six home openers and 27 of its last 28, improving to 36-3 all-time in its first game of the season at Carver Arena.
