PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior Lasha Petree (Detroit, Mich./Arbor Prep) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Women's Basketball rally from behind in Sunday's win against Northern Illinois.

Named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week Monday, Petree sparked a Bradley comeback by scoring 26 of her season-best 30 points in the second half (including 17 points in the fourth quarter) as she helped the Braves erase a 10-point second half deficit in the win over the Huskies.  She also added three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and a steal in her 32 minutes.  Petree scored 22 of Bradley's final 35 points, including nine during a 13-3 fourth-quarter run that put the Braves ahead for good.  A business major, Petree owns a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Petree and the Braves continue a home stand Thursday with a 1 p.m. contest at Renaissance Coliseum against Summit League preseason favorite South Dakota.
