PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior forward Elijah Childs (Kansas City, Mo./Lee's Summit West) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Tuesday after turning in a double-double in last week's outing at #14 Missouri.
Childs turned in his second double-double of the year, finishing with team highs of 13 points and 10 rebounds to go with two assists and three blocks as Bradley Men's Basketball fell by one point (54-53) in Columbia, Mo., against the nationally ranked Tigers. A sports communication major, Childs owns a 3.31 cumulative grade point average.Â

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Childs and the Braves open the Missouri Valley Conference portion of the schedule Sunday, hosting Loyola in a 5 p.m. game at Carver Arena. Â
