Peoria, Ill. – The Bradley men's basketball team ran past Lewis on Monday night, earning a 95-62 victory at Carver Arena. The Braves improve to 4-2 with the winning effort.
 
Junior Ja'Shon Henry led four Braves in double figures with a season-best 19 points, making 5-of-6 field goals to go with nine free throws in just 18 minutes of action.
 
Senior Elijah Childs was second on the team with 17 points, while sophomore Ville Tahvanainen added 14 points and junior Terry Nolan Jr. chipped in 10.
 
Sophomore Sean East II paced the Bradley attack with five assists, while junior Ari Boya anchored the defense with 11 rebounds and three blocks.
 
The Braves dominated from start to finish, using an early 9-0 run to grab the lead for good and forcing a Lewis timeout just 3:24 into the contest. After the Braves answered a Flyers 3-pointer with one of their own, the Flyers would never be within seven points the remainder of the game. Bradley led by as many as 17 points in the first before heading into the locker room with a 42-29 halftime lead.
 
Bradley continued its dominance in the second half, pushing its advantage to 20 points just over six minutes into the period before finishing off the 95-62 victory.
 
Bradley shot a season-best 56.7 percent in the winning effort, while making 45.8 percent from 3-point range (11-24). The Braves also controlled the game with 21 fast-break points – the team's highest total in more than 10 years.
 
The Braves, meanwhile, held the Flyers to 39.1 percent shooting with Bradley winning the battle on the boards, 45-27.
 
The Braves take a break for finals and return to action on Thursday, Dec. 17 against Jackson State. Tipoff at Carver Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
Game Notes: During the last two games, Henry has scored 35 points in 35 minutes, making 11-of-13 field goals and 13-of-18 free throws … Bradley's 21 fast-break points are its most since also scoring 21 against Milwaukee on Dec. 20, 2008 … Childs did not lead the team in scoring for the first time this season … East is shooting 60.0 percent from 3-point range during the last four games (9-15) … The schools were meeting for the second time with Bradley also winning in 1977.
