PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior guard Gabi Haack (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Women's Basketball split a pair of road games.
Haack averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the two road contests. In last Wednesday's road win at Wright State, she tied for team-high honors with 16 points, knocking down 3-of-7 three-pointers and also grabbed seven boards and two steals as she played all 40 minutes. Haack tied for team-high scoring honors again Sunday at Saint Louis, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, one assist and a steal against the Billikens. An elementary education major, Haack owns a 3.80 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
Haack and the Braves open a two-game home stand Sunday with a 2 p.m. contest against Northern Illinois.
