ST. LOUIS – Bradley senior LF Dan Bolt (Morton, IL/Morton H.S.) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office Monday afternoon.

Bolt led a Bradley offensive that averaged 6.2 runs per game last week by hitting .421 (8-for-19) with three home runs and seven RBIs during the four games of the SAF Dirt Classic in Tennessee.  Bolt heated up Friday when he went 3-for-5 with a 3-run home run at Lipscomb, then followed by going 4-for-6 with two home runs and three RBIs in Saturday's 11-4 win at Austin Peay.  He closed the trip by going 1-for-4 with a hit-by-pitch and a RBI in Sunday's 8-7 loss at Belmont.

Through this season's first seven games, Bolt leads the Braves (1-6) in batting average (.367), home runs (3), runs scored (7), slugging percentage (.700) and OPS (1.124) and shares the team lead with seven RBIs.

Monday's honor marks the second Valley Player-of-the-Week award for Bolt the last two seasons.  He first earned the award April 22, 2019 after going 8-for-16 with four home runs in the preceding week's four games.

Bradley returns to the Volunteer State for three more games this weekend, visiting Tennessee Tech (3-3) for a 3-game series, beginning with Friday's 3 p.m. opener.
