Des Moines, Iowa – The Bradley men's basketball team dropped a road game at Drake Wednesday night, 73-60. The Braves are now 15-9 and 6-5 in Missouri Valley Conference action, while the Bulldogs move to 16-8 and 6-5 in league play.
 
Senior Darrell Brown led Bradley with 24 points on the night. Sophomore Ja'Shon Henry registered his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Bradley jumped out to an early 13-9 lead in the contest only for Drake to use a 9-1 run to pull in front, 18-14. The Braves battled foul trouble throughout the first half as the Bulldogs led by as many as 12 points before heading into the locker room with a 34-24 lead.
 
In the second stanza, Drake took advantage of a 9-1 run to start the half to grab a 43-25 edge early in the period. Bradley was never within single digits the remainder of the game and the Bulldogs led by as many as 21 points before the 73-60 final margin.
 
The Braves made 36.5 percent of their baskets on the night, while Drake converted 50.0 percent of their chances. Liam Robbins led the Bulldogs with 29 points and seven rebounds.
 
Bradley looks to return to its winning ways on Sunday, hosting Evansville. Game time at Carver Arena is set for 1 p.m.
 
Game Notes: With his 24 points, Brown moved into a tie for 10th place in Bradley's record book with 1,683 career points, matching Anthony Parker (1993-97) … Drake outrebounded Bradley, 31-28 – marking the 11th-straight BU game that the team with more rebounds won the game … Bradley lost on a Wednesday for the first time since January 2019, ending a 10-game winning streak on the weekday … The schools split the season series for the first time since 2015-16.
