PEORIA, Ill. – Senior outfielder Dan Bolt (Morton, Ill./Morton) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday.
Bolt ranked fourth in the nation this season in home runs per game (0.70) and earned his second career Collegiate Baseball National Players-of-the-Week selection March 2. A preseason All-Missouri Valley Conference pick leading into the 2020 season, Bolt had been named the MVC Player of the Week twice this season and is the only three-time Valley Player of the Week honoree in program history. Through 10 games, he was hitting a team-best .357 with team highs of seven home runs and 15 RBI. A business (finance) major, Bolt owns a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
