PEORIA, IL – With seven home runs in his last six games, including four during this past weekend's 3-game series sweep at Tennessee Tech, senior LF Dan Bolt (Morton, IL/Morton H.S.) has made some Bradley Baseball history.  In addition to landing on the Collegiate Baseball National Players of the Week list for the second time in his career, Bolt has been selected the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and the third time in his career.

Bradley's first-ever back-to-back winner of the Valley Player-of-the-Week honor, Bolt also is believed to be the first-ever Brave to claim the league's weekly award three times in his career.  He also joins the trio of Elliot Ashbeck, Matt Dennis and Andy Shadid as two-time national honorees by Collegiate Baseball.

Bolt, who hit three home runs two weeks ago at the SAF Dirt Classic in Tennessee, returned to the Volunteer State to hit four more home runs during Bradley's 3-game weekend series sweep at Tennessee Tech.  During the series against the Golden Eagles, Bolt was 4-for-12 with three walks and a hit by pitch for a .500 on-base percentage.  He finished with eight RBIs and six runs scored.

For the season, Bolt leads the Braves (4-6) with a .357 batting average, 15 RBIs, 13 runs scored, seven home runs, an .881 slugging percentage and a .449 on-base percentage.  He is tied for second nationally with his seven homers and ranks fourth in home runs per game (0.70), sixth in total bases (37), 14th in slugging percentage, 20th in RBIs per game (1.50), 35th in RBIs and 44th in runs per game (1.30).

Led by Bolt's production, Bradley begins the week ranked third nationally by averaging 1.90 home runs per game, fourth with 19 homers and 18th in slugging percentage (.488).

With wins in four of its last five games, Bradley (4-6) will try to carry its recent momentum into a weekend series at Southeastern Conference opponent Kentucky (5-6), which begins with 3 p.m. game Friday at Kentucky Proud Park.  All three games in the series are scheduled to be shown on SEC Network Plus, the collaborative streaming platform between the SEC and ESPN.
