Bradley left fielder Dan Bolt (Morton, IL/Morton H.S.) was recognized as one of the hottest hitters of the abbreviated 2020 college baseball season, according to an analytical breakdown by D1Baseball.com released Monday.

Bolt checked in at No. 5 nationally in the D1 Analytics: 2020 Top Senior Hitters revealed by the national college baseball website Monday.  The listing took into account Plate Discipline, Hit Ability and Game Power and combined the numbers into a final Analytics Score.  Bolt ranked fifth nationally with an Analytics Score of 90.0 and he was the only player among the top 11 from a "northern" state.

According to the website, Plate Discipline is a measure of how well a batter controls the strike zone, while Hit Ability measures a batter's ability to hit and reach base.  In his 49 plate appearances in 2020, Bolt hit .357, drew four walks and was hit by three pitches, all contributing to a .449 on-base percentage.

Game Power is a measure of ability to produce extra-base hits.  With seven home runs, Bolt was fourth nationally by averaging 0.7 home runs per game and sixth in the nation with a .881 slugging percentage.

D1Baseball.com also has released a list of top junior hitters and by combining the list, Bolt's 90.0 Analytics Score would rank 15th among all of the nation's upperclassmen.
